It is important to us to constantly improve our products in order to provide our users with the best possible working experience. For this reason, we regularly release updated versions of our AR 3S Pro applications with new features and fixes. To benefit from these improvements, it is necessary to upgrade to the latest versions. And don't worry: updating AR3S Pro is easy.
Updating AR3S Pro Client app for HoloLens 2
- The following steps can only be performed if an update is actually available.
- Access the Microsoft Store on your HoloLens device and tap on the icon in the upper right where all available updates are displayed
- Select AR3S Pro Client and then Update
Updating AR3S Pro Server app for PC
- De-install the current AR3S Pro Server app you have on your PC
- Go to Holo-Light's Download Center and download the latest AR3S Pro Server app
- Should you be in any doubt as to which is the latest version, please do not hesitate to contact your Account Manager or our Support team.
- Install the AR3S Pro Server app as described in this guide about downloading and installing AR3S Pro Server
We strongly recommend to fully delete and re-install the AR3S Pro apps when updating – especially when new features have been added. This ensures that files aren't cached locally that may impact performance or user experience.
- You may run into problems with your license when updating your AR3S Pro version, because your reserved seat might already be cached
- In that case please contact your assigned Account Manager or our Support Team, so that your seat can be released on server-side
