License

AR3S was formerly known as ARES.
In "License" you will find information regarding the license status of your AR3S application.

No license key is required per se for AR3S Pro Cloud, as soon as you receive login credentials from us and establish a connection between AR3S Pro Cloud server and client, the licensing is provided.

You can only benefit from the full functionality of AR3S if you have a valid active license. If you are interested in a full license, please contact our Sales department via sales@holo-light.com.

Accessing the "License" Menu

Once you have started AR3S access the "Main" menu and go to "Settings". Then navigate to "License".

Information Available 

License Status

This item displays the current license status of the application and can be either set to "Full Version" (with active license) or "Demo Version" (without active license) in AR3S and AR3S Pro. In AR3S Pro Cloud this item will read "Full Version (Cloud Subscription)".

Expiration Time

This item displays the date from which your license is no longer valid. If there is no active license only "<Unlimited>" is displayed.

In AR3S Pro Cloud "<Unlimited>" is displayed despite the existence of an active license; this can be ignored.

Check-in Time

This item checks some time after licensing whether the license is still valid. If there is no active license only <None> is displayed.

In AR3S Pro Cloud "<None>" is displayed despite the existence of an active license; this can be ignored.

When the check-in time is being verified, it is mandatory to have an internet connection. Before the check-in time and as soon as the date has passed, the app can be used offline again.

Activating License

When choosing "Read QR Code" you are able to license the application by scanning the license key token "HoloToken" from the Licensing Management portal.

When choosing "Load License Key from Disk" you are able to license the application by reading the license key token "HoloToken" from the Licensing Management portal in the 3D Objects folder of your HoloLens 2 device (AR3S) or server device (AR3S Pro).

Release License

The active license is withdrawn and AR3S is set back to demo mode. The license key can now be used to license AR3S on another device if required.
