AR 3S was formerly known as ARES. The "Measurements" feature allows to take measurements and determine angles by drawing measurement lines via "Air Tap" gesture.
Once you have started AR 3S access the "Main" menu and go to "Tools". An array of features will be displayed, from which you can choose from. Press on "Measurements" to activate the tool.
Measurements can only be created if the "Measurement Mode" is set to active (as displayed in the image below).
Options Available
Measurement Mode
The Measurement Mode can be activated (or deactivated) by pressing on the toggle button next to "Activate Measurement Mode" within the "Measurements" menu.
Within the "Measurements" section the measuring lines created so far will be displayed. They will be listed with their type (e.g. Distance) and their length and/or inner as well as outer angles (depending of the "Measurement" mode chosen).
Distance and Angle
Once you have accessed the "Measurements" menu, click on the tab reading "Distance". Form the "Air Tap" gesture with your hand and you will see a three-dimensional coordinate system appear.
An "Air Tap" can be used to fix a node of the measuring line.
After tapping once, the degree wheel is displayed and the inner and outer angles between the lines are shown. By moving your right hand, the length as well as the angles between the lines can be set dynamically.
By tapping a second time, the measurement line can be fixed and is displayed within the "Measurements" menu.
Angle
Once you have accessed the "Measurements" menu, click on the tab reading "Distance". Form the "Air Tap" gesture with your hand and you will see a three-dimensional coordinate system appear.
An "Air Tap" can be used to fix a node of the measuring line.
Distance
Once you have accessed the "Measurements" menu, click on the tab reading "Distance". Form the "Air Tap" gesture with your hand and you will see a three-dimensional coordinate system appear.
Tap once and you should be able to draw a measuring line by moving your hand. The displayed length of the measuring line should change dynamically, depending on your hand movement
Tap once again and a measuring line with two red nodal points along with the line's length should appear.
After drawing a measuring line of type Distance, you can lengthen/shorten or move it by manipulating and grabbing any of the red nodal points.
Delete Measurements
Individual measuring lines can be removed by either clicking on the "Delete" button next to their names inside the "Measurement" menu or by clicking on the "Delete" button next to the measuring line appearing in the overworld.
Once deleted the particular measuring line should no longer be present either in the "Measurement" menu or in the overworld.
