Select Root

AR 3S was formerly known as ARES.
Use the Select Root feature to select the root of an object and consequently all of its components. 

How-To Steps

  • Once you’ve loaded a file in AR 3S 
  • Access the Main Menu and navigate to Interaction
  • Look for tab Selection and click on option Select Root
    • The Selection Tool will be set to Point and Commit
  • Target your 3D object via Far Interaction and perform an Air Tap
    • In the Hierarchy menu every component of the object should now be selected
  • Perform an Air Tap anywhere in the room without targeting your selected 3D object via Far Interaction 
    • In the Hierarchy menu every component of the object should now be deselected
  • Click on Select All to select the entirety and click on Reset Selection to reverse the performed selection
  • Flubbed up? – Tap the Undo button in the Interaction menu to reverse the most recent manipulation
