AR 3S was formerly known as ARES.
In the "Tools" menu, virtual tools can be selected that serve for further object manipulation and also offer additional functionalities. For example, PDFs and videos can be imported here to the AR 3S workspace and hand-based features can be accessed.
Once you have started AR 3S access the "Main" menu and go to "Tools", an array of features will be displayed, from which you can choose from.
Features Available
The Undo and Redo functions undo or restore the last action performed on the file.
The "Exploded View" feature allows 3D objects to be disassembled down into their individual parts in a variety of levels on the X, Y and Z axes.
The "Measurements" feature allows to take measurements and determine angles by drawing measurement lines via "Air Tap" gesture.
The "Cross Section" feature allows users to create intersection views of 3D objects. Different 3D shapes (cube, sphere, plane) can be combined to specifically make any components visible or invisible.
The "Hand Pose Capture" feature allows to take snapshots of the user's hands in order for displaying them as an object in the AR 3S workspace.
The "Collision Detection" feature visualizes whether the user's hand is grabbing into the 3D model. This allows the user to check which components of the model are accessible in real life and where their hand could be blocked.
The "Multimedia" feature allows user to import PDFs and MP4 video files into their AR 3S Workspace.
Stack Objects
The "Stack Objects" feature allows users to place two different objects directly superimposed on each other.
3D Objects Comparison
The "3D Objects Comparison" feature allows users to compare two different objects by placing them superimposed on each other and using a slider to highlight the differences.
Annotation
The "Annotation" feature allows user to draw freely in space, use pre-made stencils and shapes, and position their own images.
Animation Player
The "Animation Player" feature allows the user to visualize their own image files and play their own video files into their AR 3S Workspace.
