Updating AR3S Pro Server and AR3S Pro Client

AR3S Pro was formerly known as ARES Pro.
It is important to us to constantly improve our products in order to provide our users with the best possible working experience. For this reason, we regularly release updated versions of our AR3S Pro applications with new features and fixes. To benefit from these improvements, it is necessary to upgrade to the latest versions. And don't worry – updating AR3S Pro is easy.

We strongly recommend to fully delete and re-install the AR3S Pro apps when updating – especially when new features have been added. This ensures that files aren't cached locally that may impact performance or user experience.

The following steps can only be performed if an update is actually available.

Updating AR3S Pro Client for HoloLens 2

  1. Access the Microsoft Store on your HoloLens device and tap on the icon in the upper right where all available updates are displayed
  2. Select "AR3S Pro Client" and then "Update"
  3. Alternatively you can navigate to the AR3S Pro Client product page in the Microsoft Store and click there on "Update".

Updating AR3S Pro Server for PC

  • De-install the current AR3S Pro Server app you have on your PC
  • Go to Holo-Light's download center and download the latest AR3S Pro Server version
    • Should you be in any doubt as to which is the latest version, please do not hesitate to contact us via support@holo-light.com
  • Install the AR3S Pro Server app as described in this guide about downloading and installing AR3S Pro Server.
